Auckland Museum

About two weeks ago Some of the senior and Middles Syndicate went on a trip the Auckland Museum,we had left our school at about 9::00 and arrived at our destination at about 9:30 - 9:40, there were two buses they were both mixed of both syndicates. Once we had arrived we were led into a small room where both syndicates had a lil meeting about the safety rules int the museum,After we had be let off into Groups,but we had an option if we wanted to learn about Music and Dance or Tapa and Tivaivai And i choose Music and Dance.We learned about different instruments such as a Nose Flute it was a weird instrument but we also thought it was amazing! We were then let of to go look around the museum and search for anything interesting, along the way we had to find out some facts and share it out once we arrived back to school, I had a fun time! hoping to go again another time!!

Tumanji

Last week the senior Syndicate went on a trip to St Johns netball courts to play Tumanji,we had been split up into our camp groups, Green Reindeer's,Blue Stingrays,Orange wolves,Purple Jaguars,Red Dragons and Yellow Panthers we went there to play tag then continued on with the game until we had versed all the groups the wining group of Tumanji was Red Dragons my group we had just got a ball and the went back to school i had a good time!

Cooking At Tech

Every Wednesday the year 7 and 8's senior syndicate goes down to Tamaki College for tech,where we are put in groups and spilt up to our classes.Our classes at tech are Wood,Cooking and Metal but this term I'm in cooking class with Miss Tuipuloto, we have been put into pairs, my partner for this term is Tracey and Last week Wednesday we made a English Breakfast for a start to our tech morning routine,Thanks for reading my story bye! 

Cross Country

On the 3rd of September some of the school syndicate went out to have cross country. We had be organised into our house colours Maungarei,Kaiahiku,Taurere, and Te Wai O Taiki. We had gotten into our own year levels from year 1 to year 8. We started in the middle of the field and ran half of the way and made our ways to the front gate and done laps that we were given.The year 8's were given three laps to do around the block,The year 7's were given two and the year 1's to year 3's were only given one. . t was very tiring and hard but all of us had done a big push to get to the finish line. W e are proud and full of pride that we are all winners.I had So much fun!!

Science

This week Room 11 is learning about Science, and for science we will be learning about Space. For my Topic I will being Researching about Planets, we had to pick either two or Three planets to Research about and I picked the first two planets of our Solar System Mercury And Venus. Once we have finished our research we will have to make a Tri-fold and come up with creative ideas so that we can present it to the class in a few weeks time.

Netball Tournament

On Monday the 5th of August I went to a Netball Tournament with some seniors from Glen Taylor School.It was windy and rainy most of the day and hardly any sun, We had to play in the rain so it was harder for us to land on two feet and shoot for our goal. The schools we versed were Sylvia Park ,Stone field ,Parnell ,Stan hope, Baraden School, We lost our first game but we were still played the rest of our games as a team. I learnt a lot during our games Hope to see more schools next year!

Camp Bentzon!

On 27th of May Glen Taylor Senior Syndicate went to Camp Bentzon for a week,The first day we arrived I was very nervous and scared because it was a week without any of my family members,I had not communication towards my parents,But being with my friends for a week is probably what I needed to spend time with friends and getting to know other students I don't really talk with.The girls and boys had separate Cabins,I slept in Cabin W just at the end of the girls hallway with my friends Mafi,Moni,Lenitah and Tajainey our room was the messiest and and the loudest,we would talk until we got tired,But we would mostly get caught by a teacher and acted like we were sleeping we would laugh quietly when the teacher left from checking our rooms and fall asleep deeply.In the morning for breakfast the teachers would make us yum food for us to eat,we would get called group by group my group was Red Dragons there was more groups they were Yellow Panthers,Purple Jaguars,Green Reindeer's ,Orange Wolves and Blue Stingrays our group would go last or second to last but we still got our food,After we finished eating we would go to the break out room and sit in our groups and wait to know our  actives for the day.My groups first activity was Rock Climbing I was confident but scared because the wall was very  high,a few minutes later it was my turn I went up the wall in Confidence i got to the last to rocks of the wall but one of them were loose and it felt like I was going to fall but luckily There was a rope to stop me from falling straight to the ground,My heart was beating really fast so I went back down.I was still proud of myself that I almost mad it the top of the wall.But ending here I had so much fun at Camp Bentzon I just still wish i could go back and make more memories and spend more time with my friends.
